On Friday, 8th September 2023, the International Office UNPAR held a Welcoming and Orientation for International Students batch 2023-2024 at Ruang Rapat Besar Rectorate Building, 2nd floor. There are 15 participants from 13 countries (Australia, South Korea, Russia, United States, Thailand, Timor Leste, Pakistan, Gambia, Tanzania, Rwanda, and France) and five programs (BIPA Regular, Darmasiswa, KNB, and Bilateral agenda). The event opened with opening remarks by Sylvia Yazid, Ph.D., as Head of Office for International Affairs and Cooperation, and then the event continued with four different sessions. The first session is Academic Information by Biro Administrasi Akademik (BAA). The second session is Student Portal Information by Biro Teknologi Informasi (BTI). The third session is Introduction to Indonesian Language Class by BIPA UNPAR. The last or fourth session of the event is general information about IO and UNPAR, delivered by Tiara Regina as Coordinator for the Inbound and Outbound Program at the International Office. Andi Yunanto also provides Immigration Policy Information as Head of the Administration Division at the International Office.
After the fourth session is done, the international students are split into three different rooms based on the program that they come from to join a discussion session with the Study Program for Bilateral Students featuring Marshell Adi Putra as Head of International Relations Study Program and Adrianus Adityo Vito Ramon as Vice Dean for Resources. Discussion with JPKM (Health Insurance) for KNB Students, and discussion with BIPA for Darmasiswa and BIPA Reguler. The event closed with a photo session and campus tour to introduce the UNPAR campus environment for International Students.
