On Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, three KNB students graduated from UNPAR. They are Lionel Hirwa and Leandre Mushinzimana from Rwanda, who graduated from the Magister of Management Study Program, and Alain-Desire Nijimbere from Burundi, who graduated from the Magister of Business Administration Study Program.
The event was attended by Prof. Ir. Tri Basuki Joewono as the Rector of UNPAR, Prof. Dr. Ir. Henky Muljana, S.T., M.Eng. as the Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs , Ir. Catharina Badra Nawangpalupi, Ph.D. as the Vice Rector of Cooperation, Alumni, Innovation, and Business, Mr. Reinard Primulando, Ph.D. as the Director of the Directorate of International Affairs as well as Dr. Orpha Jane as the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Other international students also attended the event to show support for the beginning chapters of a brighter future for the three graduates.
The event kicked off with singing Indonesia Raya and Hymne UNPAR. Mr. Reinard gave heartfelt opening words and wished the graduates success in their future endeavors. After that, the KNB graduates proudly read their oath of graduation. Next, Prof. Tri Basuki Joewono officially inaugurated them as UNPAR master graduates in their respective fields. The meaningful event ended with a photo session in front of the Rectorate Building to memorialize this historic event in the lives of the newly graduated KNB students.
As we bid farewell to the KNB graduates, we were touched by their heartfelt words of gratitude. Each of them, having experienced the transformative journey” at UNPAR, expressed their appreciation. Leandre Mushinzimana,” in his video testimony, acknowledged the competitive edge UNPAR had instilled” in them, saying, “…They provide good things which make us comfortable…”. Alain-Desire Nijimbere shared, “My experience here is very good… the lectures here give us much knowledge….”. and Lionel Hirwa, in his parting words, praised the teaching skills and academic service, especially from the international office.
