On Friday, 6 December 2024, IO UNPAR conducted its last international students’ meet up of the year. In light of the holiday spirit, the international students played active games with a Christmas twist. The gathering started with a Christmas Lunch together as the ice breaking. After that, the international students were divided into groups to play four games that had been prepared by the Student Buddies. The first game was the Pass Your Candy Cane (Relay Race); each group of 4-5 people had to pass the candy cane to their friend quickly around the race track. The winning groups of the first game advanced to the next round, called Protect Your Igloo. The second round was a combination of traditional Indonesian games, Bentengan and Gobak Sodor. Before the final game, the international students were given a bonus game to collect extra points. In this bonus game, they had to stomp on their friends’ balloons to win. The game ends with the remaining three survivors becoming the winners. After the bonus stage, they played the final game which was similar to the game in Squid Game, Red Light Green Light, named Frosty Freeze. The event ended with the distribution of prizes to the winners and a little reminder to the international students about traffic while on vacation during the year-end period in Indonesia.
