News UNPAR-Ministry of Trade Collaborate on Consumer Protection and Trade Order

UNPAR.AC.ID, Bandung – Parahyangan Catholic University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ministry of Trade of Republic Indonesia on Thursday (28/10/2021), at The Ballroom XXI Djakarta Theatre. This agreement sets the sinergy together about the implementation of consumer protection and trade order.

The signment ceremony was conducted on The National Consumer Day 2021 with the theme of “Konsumen Berdaya, Pulihan Ekonomi Bangsa” (translated as: “Empowered Consumers, Restore The Nation’s Economy”). On the official statement, Ministry of Trade committed to improving Indonesia’s Consumers to be Empowered Consumers in order to speed up the restoration of nation’s economy. Empowered Consumers contributes to National Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from the household consumption sector.

The MoU was signed directly by the Trade Minister of Republic Indonesia Muhammad Lutfi and the Rector of Parahyangan Catholic University Mangadar Situmorang, Ph.D. The agreement aims to form a network in fields related to Consumer Protection and Trade Order. As well as improves coordination and development effectiveness in fields related to Consumer Protection and Trade Order.
