On 20 June 2023, UNPAR’s new Rector, Prof. Tri Basuki Joewono, Ph.D. alongside Dr. Pius Sugeng Prasetyo, M.Si as Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, met Prof. Dr. Christoph Schuck as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Theology and Matthias Heise, M.A., as the Head of Faculty Management of the Faculty of Human Sciences and Theology at TU Dortmund University.
The casual meeting that occurred before the inauguration of the 2023-2027 Rector signified the strong intention to sustain the collaboration between the two institutions. UNPAR and TU Dortmund have a long-standing relationship, especially between the International Relations study program and the Department of Humanities and Theology. The two universities have frequently conducted student and staff mobility programs, joint research and publications, workshops, and short courses. Discussions are happening on the plan to establish a double degree program.
