On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, professors and students from Washington & Jefferson College visited UNPAR’s International Relations department to meet and discuss with lecturers and some students from the study program. In the visit, two of UNPAR’s BUD delegates and IISMA awardees, Adzraa Shaffa Andira (IISMA 2021 awardee to Maastricht University) and Josephine Anastasia Warsidi (IISMA 2023 awardee to the Australian National University), took part in the discussion and shared their perspectives on Indonesia’s relations with China and the Indo-Pacific. The discussion circulated around the following topics: the relations of Indonesia, ASEAN, Myanmar dan China; Indonesia’s NDC; net zero emission 2060 and energy transition; as well as environmental issues in Papua.
The visit from Washington & Jefferson College opened up the possibility of future collaboration between them and UNPAR. We can’t wait to see more of these two institutions’ interactions!
