On March 7th, 2023, International Office (IO) UNPAR held a Be Unpar’s Delegation (BUD) Info Session and launched their book, “The World as Our Learning Ground: Against All Odds,” at the Communal Space, PPAG. The book, written by eleven alumni of the BUD program, showcases their stories while studying abroad.

IO UNPAR held a mini talk show to celebrate the book launch, inviting some book writers to speak at the event. Three of the writers invited were: Patrick Steven from Management 2019 (IISMA 2021 at Boston University alumni), Isyanti Rahamaya from International Relations 2018 (IISMA 2021 at Sapienza University alumni), and Calista Eleanor Randu Samagat from International Relations 2019 (IISMA 2021 at Hanyang University alumni). Each of them read an excerpt from the chapter they wrote, sharing their experience during the BUD program. Attendees also got to ask the writers and IO about the BUD program directly.

More than twenty UNPAR students attended the event, coming from the International Relations, Informatics, Mathematics, and Law departments. UNPAR encourages its students to fly high, enrich their worldview, and have an “internationally comprehensive learning experience” through the BUD program. Like Mba Sylvia Yazid quoted in the foreword from the Head of IO, “Kejarlah ilmu sampai ke negeri Cina,” UNPAR students should “never limit themselves in the learning process.”
