ACICIS

(semester based program)

ACICIS Program is an academic cooperation that has been established by UNPAR and ACICIS, which revolved aroundtwo main programs. The International Relations Program (IRP), an English semester program in UNPAR that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of international relations at the regional and global levels, as seen from an Indonesian perspective), while developing necessary critical skills to enter the field of international relations. The program also provides a unique opportunity for non-Indonesian speakers to experience in-country study at an Indonesian university. The West Java Field Study Program is a semester-long optional field study. Students propose, refine, and undertake a semester-long field study project under the guidance of a nominated UNPAR supervisor.  It is open for  advancedIndonesian-language students (who compose their mini-thesis in Indonesian) and non-Indonesian speakers for whom all course components are conducted in English.

ACICIS currently has 24 Australian member universities, and two international members in the UK and the Netherlands. Both Australian and international universities can apply to become  members of the ACICIS consortium (www.acicis.edu.au). As a member, the university will be able to take advantage of ACICIS’ well-established in-country infrastructure, and more than a decade-and-a-half of experience in sending students to Indonesia.

Funding for this programme is given by the New Colombo Plan of Australian Government and is open for Australian and non-Australian Students.
