University of Birmingham Delegation Visits UNPAR

Bandung, 24 October 2025, Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR) had the honor of welcoming a delegation from the University of Birmingham. The visit served as a platform to explore potential areas of academic cooperation and partnership between the two institutions.

The agenda included an introduction and general overview of the University of Birmingham, presented by Dr. Kelly, who also shared insights about the city of Birmingham and the School of Social Policy and Society. This session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the university’s academic environment and its global engagement initiatives.

Further discussions centered on potential collaborations in research and teaching, encompassing opportunities for staff and student exchanges, alumni networking, student recruitment, and the initiation of transnational education (TNE) programs. Both institutions expressed enthusiasm for fostering mutual academic growth and innovation through these collaborative efforts.

In addition, Dr. Kelly extended an invitation to develop joint research projects, beginning with the identification of shared topics of interest. The discussion also opened possibilities for guest lectures, allowing Dr. Kelly contributed to UNPAR’s academic community through knowledge exchange and scholarly engagement.

This visit marks an encouraging step toward strengthening international academic partnerships, promoting cross-border collaboration, and enhancing the global visibility of both institutions.
