Parahyangan Catholic University recently welcomed eight exceptional students as recipients of the prestigious KNB (Kemitraan Negara Berkembang) Scholarship. These scholars, representing a diverse range of nations including Botswana, Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi, Venezuela, India, and Afghanistan, have been granted the opportunity to pursue their academic aspirations in Indonesia. This year’s cohort is set to enroll in various programs, from undergraduate to postgraduate and doctoral levels, further enriching the university’s academic community.
The journey for these new students began on 24 August 2025, when they touched down in Jakarta, Indonesia’s bustling capital. Their arrival marked the beginning of a life-changing academic and cultural adventure. They were part of a much larger group, joining 250 KNB recipients from 46 different countries who are distributed across 34 Indonesian universities.
The following day, Monday, 25 August 2025, all scholarship recipients attended the official Inauguration Day. The ceremony, held at the esteemed Auditorium of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, was a formal welcome to the country and their new academic lives. This event not only celebrated their achievements but also highlighted Indonesia’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and educational exchange. The gathering provided a chance for the students to connect with their peers and begin building a global network that will support them throughout their studies and beyond.
