UNPAR Welcomes IISMA Awardees 2024

On 23 December 2024, International Office (IO) of UNPAR welcomed IISMA awardees 2024 back from their respective host universities receiving the task of handling the departure of awardees back to Indonesia. On this occasion, awardees ranging from 5 continents participated in this event hosted by IISMA RI with IO UNPAR participation as well. The regions included are Australia, Asia & Middle East, Europe, UK & Ireland, and US & Canada. With multiple host universities included from those regions and hundreds of awardees. In these opportunities, IO UNPAR had the chance to catch up with awardees, hearing their stories and what they have learned in their journeys across 5 continents. 

8 awardees from UNPAR also attended the events to share their thoughts and journey to IO UNPAR. Jonathan Kay Christian with host universities of Charles University. Coming from Durham University, Nirvan Manggala. Laksmitha Anindynari from KU Leuven in Belgium. Sebastian Carlo Putra Jofano studying in netherlands, Leiden University. Studying in People Friendships University of Russia / RUDN University, Abigail Tabitha. Attending from Sapienza University of Rome, Jacquelyne Marrianne and Russel Antonio Delano. Lastly coming also from the UK, The University of Sheffield, Felicia Florence Hermawan. Some of them were still studying in their host universities and some had already arrived in Indonesia.

This event marks the coming home of awardees that are studying abroad in other continents across the globe. Sharing the things and valuable lessons they have learned while being abroad and marking the end of IISMA 2024 journey. It also marks the delegation of IISMA awardees departure back to home university which include UNPAR handled by the IO. With the hope of sharing and using their experiences to further contribute in the advancement and development in the scope of UNPAR community and Indonesia. Welcome back to UNPAR, awardees!
