In October 2024, UNPAR welcomed representatives of Hohai University, China, to discuss further potential partnership and opportunities. Attended by the delegations from both universities, this meeting hosted Mr. Jinhai Zhang, as the Vice President of Hohai University, Mr. Jisheng Zhang, as the Director of Hohai’s International Office, as well as Chair of the Administrative Committee from the School of Mathematics, Dean of Earth Science and Engineering College, and the Deputy Dean of Civil and Transportation Engineering College.
As for UNPAR’s delegations, this meeting was attended by the Rector of UNPAR, Mr. Tri Basuki Joewono, the Secretary of University, Ms. Sylvia Yazid, and the Vice Rector of Academic and Student Affairs, Mr. Henky Muljana, the Vice Rector for Cooperation, Alumni, Innovation, and Business, Ms. Catharina Badra Nawangpalupi, as well as Mr. Reinard Primulando as the Director of the International Office–accompanied by a cohort of Deans and Head of Study programs of the Science Faculty and the Engineering Faculty.
This meeting marks the second visit from Hohai University, conducted in July 2024, which set a stepping stone for cooperation between both universities’ Master of Business Administration and Engineering. However, during this visit, the projected cooperation scheme covered more general topics including joint research projects, the opportunities for long-term and short-term student exchange programs, faculty collaboration, and joint degree programs for curriculum development and collaborative online courses.
By broadening the scope of cooperation, both UNPAR and Hohai are expected to have a shared commitment to fostering global academic excellence and cross-cultural exchange. This forged partnership not only reinforces our dedication to advancing education and innovation, but also sets a promising trajectory for impactful, mutually beneficial outcomes in the years ahead.
