For Universitas Katolik Parahyangan Students who are seeking scholarship for a Master or Ph.D. degree in Korea. Here’s your opportunity to join Dongse University.

Scholarship Master’s Course 1 year of Korean language + 2 years of Master’s course
Doctoral Course 1 year of Korean language + 3 years of Doctoral course
Qualification
  • The aplicant and his/her parents must hold foreign citizenships

? Aplicant who hold Korean citzenship are not permited to apply for this program

  • Applicants must be under 40 years of age of the selection year
  • Aplicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degre as of September 1st of the selection year

? Aplicants who have previously enroled in or graduated from undergraduate program, a master’s program, or a doctoral program (including exchange program) in Korea are ineligible to aply for this program

  • Aplicants must maintain a grade point average(GPA) of at least 2.64 on a 4.0 scale, 2.80 on a 4.3 scale, 2.91 on a 4.5 scale, or grades/marks/score of 80% (out of 10%) or higher from the previously atended instiution. If the aplicant does not satisfy the above GPA requirements, he/she wil be ineligible to apply to this program

Airfare Round-trip economy class ticket
Monthly alowance 900,000 KRW per month
Research Alowance per semester 210,000 KRW for scholars in the field of humanites and social science240,000 KRW for scholars in natural and mechanic sciences
Relocation(Setlement) Alowance 200,000 KRW upon arival
Language Training Fee Full coverage
Tuition fee All the admision fee are waived by the host university The tuiton fee wil be provided by NIED
Disertation printing costs 500,000~800,000KRW, depending on actual costs
Medical insurance 200,000KRW per month wil be provided(limited coverage)
Special funding for scholars who are proficient in the Korean language (TOPIK Level 5 or 6) 100,000 won per month

Selection Schedule

1 Application Period from now to the midle of March, 2015
2 The 1st Selection The end of March, 2015 (decided by Dongseo University admision commite)
3 Deadline for recommendation to NIED The begining of April, 2015 (Al the required documents must be received by NIED
4 The 2nd Selection Mid to End-April (NIED Selection Commite)
5 Anouncement for the results of the 2nd selection the begining of May, 2015
6 Anouncement for Final successful candidates the middle of July, 2015
7 Visa Isue and Air ticket purchase the midle of June, 2015 to the end of July, 2015
8 Entry to Korea Around the end of August
9 Korean Language Course September 1st
